Texas Stix Softball - Dedicated to Excellence

The Texas Stix GSA provides a positive atmosphere for young female athletes to develop their softball skills while buiding their confidence and self esteem. The Texas Stix was founded in Northwest Austin in 1995 by Ron Styron. Updated information and news about each Stix team is listed on their Team Page of the website.

Our older teams are coached by current and former college softball players and qualified coaches. We are dedicated to playing at the highest level and comprise each teams schedule to reflect this. Travel is a necessity and will range across the state of Texas and surrounding states where we will compete to qualify for Nationals and attend National tournament events. Recruitment is a high priority for the Texas Stix. We focus recruitment efforts on helping assist our players in finding the right 'fit' for them to reach their fullest potential both athletically and academically. Our teams have placed girls into all levels of college softball, from Divisions I, II, and III, Junior College and NAIA. The Stix have assisted over 100 student athletes in their goal of continuing to play softball at the next level.

Our younger teams are coached by qualified coaches who are dedicated to the goal of player development. Our focus is to prepare each player with the skills and knowledge to play varsity softball for their high school teams. Teams will travel across the state of Texas in order to compete at a high level and will attend National tournaments upon qualification. We believe in positive reinforcement and effective coaching as being the key to our players development.

The Texas Stix provide paid coaching positions to current and former college softball players who are dedicated to helping us prepare our Stix players for high school and college ball. If you are interested in coaching with a Texas Stix team, please contact us.
